The Awarding Body
The Academy of Business and Retail Management (ABRM) aims to further the progress of research and education in management, with emphasis on retail management. Its program is driven by the need to equip and improve the manpower for the retail management sector of the economy. The ABRM qualification is aimed at individuals who want to start a career or are already in the business and retail management sector. It seeks to impart the requisite knowledge necessary for working in the business and retail industry as well as opening avenues for further education. The Academy’s business and retail management program is in line with the UK government’s effort to equip employees with the appropriate work skills and also to enhance the growth of businesses.
Think Tank
As its contribution to the community, the Academy seeks to establish an extensive network of contacts with practitioners in the field of retail both within the United Kingdom and internationally. Academy’s intention is to set itself up as a think – tank for local area development covering the social and business issues, or for that matter, inviting suggestions from them as to what could be the method of this co-operation.
Corporate Training
The Academy will launch Management Development Programmes (MDPs) of short duration on topical issues to further the education and managerial abilities of those who are already in business. Participants can either be sponsored by their respective organisations or undergo the training at their own expense. Certificates will be issued to all participants at the end of the programme. With its wealth of experience in training in Leadership for Enterprise Development and Legislative Leadership internationally the Academy is well based to advise and support a variety of sectors.
Conferences
Both national and international conferences will be organized towards fulfilling the mission of the Academy. At present the Academy organising four academic conferences annually, one in London (UK), Pune (India), Alexandria (Egypt) and Boston (USA). Please note that all submissions are subject to a double blind review process. It is essential that all manuscripts should be professionally proofread prior to submission.
