Rana Raddawi is Associate Professor, at the American University of Sharjah. She holds a Ph.D. in Translation Studies from Sorbonne University, Paris, France. She masters five languages English, Arabic, French, Portuguese and Turkish. She has more than 12 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels. She currently teaches in the Master TESOL Program in the Department of English in addition to ESP, curriculum development, emotional intelligence and intercultural communication undergraduate courses she has supervised a number of Master and PhD theses. She is a Member of the Review Committee for AERA 2014 (American Education and Research Association), Member of the Editorial Board of IJBMTE (International Journal of Bilingual & Multilingual Teachers of English) and Member of the Editorial Board of AWEJ (online Arab World English Journal). She is also an external reviewer for the National Qatar Foundation Research Committee, and member of the Review Committee of Global Conference on Education, University of Riverside.
She has many publications and translations in her areas of expertise. Her research interests relate to Gender Empowerment, Emotional Intelligence, Cross-Cultural studies, and Critical Pedagogy.Dr. Raddawi has also presented a good number of papers in different International Conferences.
